This handsome fish is inspired by the trout I see on the River Test that runs through the pretty village of Stockbridge in Hampshire.  I have tried to capture the clarity of the water that the trout swims through and also the ambiguity of the objects in the water. Is the fish reaching for a tasty meal or is that  a fisherman's line floating above him?
